Ashley Attar

Hello and Welcome!
I’m a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and client-centered therapist committed to honoring the complexity of your experience while helping you reclaim your clarity, power, and sense of Self. My practice supports those navigating ADHD, AuDHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma, including intergenerational trauma and the psycho-emotional toll of racial capitalism and colonialism.
I offer comprehensive assessments for neurodivergent diagnoses, such as ADHD, and provide evaluation and documentation to support access to accommodations. I also conduct assessments for gender-affirming care and have supported many clients in successfully accessing medical transition resources, medication management, and related care.
Whether you’re exploring your identity, navigating life transitions, restructuring your environment to improve executive functioning, or questioning the roles of relationships, work, or faith in your life, I’m here as both a grounding presence and a resource connector. I support clients through experiences such as family estrangement/complex dynamics, religious or political trauma, non-traditional relationship structures, new parenthood, and workplace stress.
My approach is integrative and eclectic. To give a few examples of the modalities I use, they include Narrative Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). That said, I don’t believe in rigid application—healing is dynamic. Even within a single session, I draw on multiple modalities as needed to support awareness, emotional processing, connectivity, and grounding. My work is based on what you need when you need it.
My ideal client understands that therapy isn’t a silver bullet—it’s one tool on a broader path of self-discovery. The goal isn’t perfection, but rather deepening your self-awareness and cultivating compassion. I believe healing isn’t a zero-sum game or a linear journey. Capitalism tells us we must constantly strive for improvement, but real healing is often about slowing down, accepting where we are, and learning to be kind to ourselves in the here and now.
I work well with LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent folx, disabled individuals, and people who resist or question mainstream models of life and care. I especially enjoy working with people who’ve felt like outcasts—the so-called weirdos, the ones who don’t quite fit the mold. Whether you’re into astrology, have spiritual practices outside the norm, or just want a space where your full self is welcome, I aim to create an environment where you feel seen.
I offer online, virtual therapy Monday through Thursday, typically between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm.
Let’s connect and explore what thriving could look like for you, not in spite of the systems around and within you, but through greater awareness of them.
