Steven Edelman
MA, LPC, Expressive Arts Therapist
My approach begins with compassion, empathy, non-judgment, trust, and kindness. With these, always moving at your pace, we bring curiosity and creativity to whatever is there, infusing both depth and meaning into the struggles and joys of your life.
What matters most in our work is what matters most to you. What is most meaningful in our work is what is most meaningful to you. Together, we can work to change and enhance your relationship with powerful aspects within you and outside of you.
This can be tough at times, but even more often it’s enlivening and encouraging. It can feel really good. When we do this, we both begin to see more clearly what you actually care about. This then guides the work we do together. I am a joyful, present, creative, and caring therapist.
I deeply trust the people I work with, and I think this trust allows me to bring a full and focused presence to my clients. I don’t talk a lot. I don’t like giving advice. I’m good at picking up on what is interesting and compelling to you. I’m good at sensing what matters most to you.
